Christmas greeting

Dec
21

Dear President Obama and First Lady Michelle, I just watched your 2016 presidential Christmas/Holiday greeting, I didn’t know what to do, to cry or laugh, so I did both. I have it saved in my favorites, when I need to be uplifted I visit it and I need to do that frequently. Thank you for the wonderful eight years of peace, strength and love u provided Americans and the world. Your incredible leadership, as a team was comforting, I never worried about where your guidance would take us as a country, I felt safe. Being the president brings personal sacrifice that I’m sure no one understands unless they and their family fulfills that role. Thank you for all you have done, and your personal sacrifices, wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas and hopefully a wonderful 2019 for you, your family and Americans as a whole. God only knows we need it. With great affection, Sally Hewitt

And dear Michelle Obama and Sacha and Melia Obama!

(Thank-you Michelle for all you have done for women!)
You are an exceptional lot. I am so glad you are here on this planet at the same time as me and my son.

Dear President Obama and Family,
I hope you and your Family are doing well , and enjoying your much needed and well deserved vacation . First I want to say Thank you for all of the children that were born during your presidency, into an time this country had never seen before . When the words that were once just words , " you can do or be , whatever and whoever you want to , as long as you work hard " ! Are not just words anymore , they were born into a time when those words are touchable, reachable, have feeling and true meaning. You gave us all hope , and showed us what we can have , it's possible ! With all the previous presidents before you , we felt no connection, nothing to fight for , stand with ,be apart of , and come to love and believe that we can all do our part , and do what's best for our children's country. So , Thank you for all of your sacrifice , hard work , and dedication over the past 8 years . My son is seven , he too has a "white " mother and "black " father , sounds so absurd to me to be writing those words . We don't see color other then roots to find where we came from and who sacrificed, and survived wars and peace to get us here . My point is , he was truly blessed to grow up in his first years of life , seeing you and your beautiful family in the White House ,fighting for what's right , the good of our country, and making a difference. And now we are at a fork in the road , where after all of those years knowing , You had our back , and our children's future was in good hands ! To not recognizing our country and what we stand for , not being able to sleep at night because we have to do something to protect our planet and our future. It's not a good place we are in , but there is a big difference now . We ,the people, know better. We know all is possible, we know if we continue to fight for what's right and stand for what we believe in ,together,we can make a difference. That all things ARE possible. You set the standard, high , and we will no longer accept low , they go low , we go high !! So , really I just wanted to say ,enjoy your vacation, and then come back and join us , we are going to continue to fight for all those things that you made possible Mr and Mrs .President Obama , Thank you . Kind Regards, Corinna

Dear Mr. Obama

Now we can better appreciate your all achievements during your Presidential tenure; and there are plenty of them.

You managed to save the USA economy that was at the bottom of the J curve when you took the Office.
Personally I was laid of twice during the President George W Bush Jr era; and we could see how the unemployment rate was going up to 10% and more.
During your Presidency my job was stable, no lay offs; and a lot of new jobs have been created in my area (IT).
I am still getting calls from different IT consulting companies offering new IT positions.

I admire your courage required for withdrawing the USA troops from different hot spots in the world. That saved a lot of American lives.

All your decisions were well thought over. You used very smart people as your councilors.
And we never have had such a turmoil that is happening now within three weeks of the new Presidency.
Now we can really appreciate how well all your decisions were prepared before their announcement.

You chose right directions for America - strong economy, affordable medical insurance for everyone, clean energy, reduction of the on ground military operations,
strengthening ties with our European allies, strong opposition to the Russian aggression acts, many others.

Those last 8 years were good years for almost any American, I believe.

I hope the foundation for all those changes that you built is strong enough to endure the latest attacks on them.
People eventually will understand the values of your efforts and support them, no doubts.

However there are a few very important things that were not accomplished.
I have to mention just one of them - the failure of the Democratic party to nominate several presidential candidates who would have much-much stronger support from the majority of voters.
The last elections were a disaster, as the new President likes to say. The Russian influence was not prevented effectively.

Anyway, I just want to cordially thank you, Mr. Obama. You did a Great Job.
I wish all the best possible in this world to You and Your wonderful Family.

Sincerely,
IT specialist

Dear President Obama:

We are almost at the last hour of your eight years as president of the United States. I honestly do not know where we are going to go from here, but I do want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you have done to serve our country and our citizens. I remember the day when you were elected as our first African-American president and I remember thinking how amazing and wonderful that it was specifically you ( and also your inspiring family). I am a school teacher, and the large majority of my students are minorities. During the years that you were in office, I loved being able to tell my students, to look no further than our president as evidence that anything is possible if you work hard enough to achieve it and believe in yourself! Now, even as you prepare yourself to leave office, I want you to know that for myself, that inspiration and belief in the endless possibilities for the futures of my my many students remain. Among all the many laudable things that you have done during your presidency, that is one that will resonate with me for the rest of my life. Bless you and your family and thank you so much again!

Thank you so much for your service of president President of the United States, I admire you and felt so safe and secure with you being President, I cannot and will not call Donald Trump President, I just cannot, I an the same age as yourself (1961), but felt so secure and trusting of your skills, tact and fairness, when this man won your finished terms, I got such a pain in my stomach I thought that I was going to vomit, I started shaking, I'm still shaking and also feel sick to my stomach when I see and hear his childish and self righteous tweets, what grown man does such things, it reminds me of a serial killer sending tiny messages one by one add they watch you but you can't see them, its spooky. This man has no filter on his vile and vicious mouth. The hope I have to hold onto is prayer and maybe congress can communicate to certain countries after he gets is on the verge of disaster
I have truly enjoyed your service to myself and the country I am proud to call my home. I feel as though I must tell you that on January 17th, 1964, my oldest brother who was 7 years old was sadly taken home to our Lord, thanks to a drunk driver. And years ago I heard our first lady was born that exact day, I often wonder at what time of the day was she born. I will close with a thank you to a great and wonderful President and first lag and how I wish you could stay as long as you wished and us also, but we must say goodbye from the job you did do well but hopefully not forever. I cannot figure out and find the words to truly tell you thank you. But thank you from the bottom of my heart and may God bless you and your family and may God truly bless America now more than ever.

I wanted to say thank you Mr President, for serving our country in the most respectful, honest, caring, loving and patriotic way no other president in the history of this country has ever done before. I truly wish you could've done it without all of the blatant obstacles that our government placed in your way. And with all the doubt, hatred and prejudice, you still managed to run our country. It's time to leave us. I must admit I'm a little afraid of what's to come. I see it this way, if you managed to overcome all of the obstacles you had to endure these last eight years, I can manage four. It's not over. I can still peacefully exercise my rites as citizen of the United States of America. God bless you and your beautiful family Mr president Barack Obama.

TẠM BIỆT ANH- TỔNG THỐNG OBAMA

Tạm biệt Barack Obama
Mấy hôm anh đến dạo chơi nhà
Anh đã uống trà sen đất Việt
Chắc là ngon thiệt đúng không anh?

Nước Việt đẹp như một bức tranh
Vẽ lên bằng máu của dân lành
Hơn bốn ngàn năm dành độc lập
Máu đào tô đậm bức tranh sen!

Đón anh nam bắc ngập đường chen
Cờ hoa xen lối trước sau thềm
Tiếng hô vang rền khen anh đó
Chạm vào cuối ngõ trái tim anh.

Già trẻ trai gái gọi tên anh
Họ biết rằng anh rất chân thành
Bàn thô, ghế nhựa ăn bún chả
Thăm chị bán trà quán đơn sơ.

Nói chuyện anh biết nói bằng thơ
Làm cho dân chúng thật bất ngờ
Sông núi nước nam Vua Nam ở
Há gì nước lớn cứ đòi mơ?!

Thời gian, anh phải đếm từng giờ
Ba ngày ngắn ngủi bỗng ngẩn ngơ
Làm sao thấy ngọn cờ dân chủ
Cho đủ tình người đẹp ý thơ.

Anh hiểu bà con rất mong chờ
Những lời anh nói đẹp hơn thơ
Anh thật bất ngờ tình thân ấy
Trên đời ai dễ lấy được đâu?

Cuộc đời âu có lúc bể dâu
Cái nhân, cái nghĩa phải đi đầu
Cùng một địa cầu chia hai mặt
Cái mặt của anh, mặt của tôi.

Ba ngày đến lúc chia tay thôi
Tạm biệt nửa nôi của loài người
Tặng anh tấm lòng người dân Việt
Dân mở đại tiệc tiễn Obama

Tôi luôn hy vọng chẳng bao xa
Anh về thăm tôi như về nhà
Việt- Mỹ chúng ta hai mà một
Lên đường sức khoẻ tốt nhé anh!!!

Tạm biệt Obama.

Dear Mr. President,

I just want to take the time to thank you for everything you’ve done for this country so far. Handling a 50 state country is very hard and overwhelming, and you make it look as easy as pie. Despite all the criticism, you still get on that podium and do your thing. You had a very interesting childhood and didn’t let anything or anybody get in your way of achieving your dream. Getting the world’s advice on every task you’re getting ready to do is really unselfish because it means that the people’s opinion matters, and that’s important. Thank you for protecting our country’s freedom and not letting any other country come in and control what we do over here. Also, I would like to thank you for getting our economy back where it needs to be.

You have accomplished a lot of things during your presidency that the whole United States needs to thank you for.  For example, you help capture and kill our nation’s biggest terror threat, Osama Bin Laden. You began the withdrawal of troops from Iraq, and you ordered all federal agencies to undertake a study and make recommendations for ways to cut spending. In my opinion your biggest accomplishment was when you paid $789 billion economic stimulus plan. Thank you for creating jobs better for the environment and help us breathe cleaner air. The list goes on and on for all of the amazing accomplishment you have done in the last couple of years, and we greatly appreciate everything you’ve done so far. My mom and I are actually coming to the White House for Spring break, and I hope I get the chance to see you. My parents are voting for you next year and we hope you can bring more miracles to this country and stay in office longer.

Thank you for reading my letter.

Sincerely,

Keenan

Dear President Obama,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for ending the war in Iraq.   That was a great move and why I believe you are a great President and go down in history as the President who "ended the war".

I wish you can do more in Washington but I understand you have a genuine problem with the folks in congress.  Obviously, they care more of their own agenda, then that of the American Public.

I wish to than you once again, and keep working hard at it.  At some point the American public will get disgusted in what is going on in Washington and great changes will take place.

Thank you once again.

Mr President Obama, I want to thank you for taking action for those of us who really need jobs. I realize the sentate voted us down. I am sad about that and it makes me worried. However in the meantime I hope that you will continue by asking and hearing those people in the senate for their expressed view as to why they voted as they did and what they feel is better. Perhaps this is the best way to make the challenge open because our recession issue is becoming rampant enough to push honest, hard working people to the street and this hardly seems fair. As for the senate, perhaps they are doing well and only facing minor issues in relation to the economy and perhaps then it makes it easier for them to minimize how rough it is for the rest of us. Mr. President, I know you have a heart for Americans way of life and that we deserve for our own good to hear all view points leading to our nations recovery and from the senate. -James

President Obama, For all it's worth. I am pleased and honored to have such a family in Power that is not afraid to show America what is really going on behind the walls of the Whitehouse. For so many years, everything was always "behind closed doors." Now that we can finally see what's really going on - everyone wants to blame "YOU!" You have, you can, you will, you did, you gave so much more to our country! Thank you and your family for being "REAL!" President, we know your job is not easy, and I know you may get so many letters with negative news and stressful situations but this letter is just thanking you for what you are doing and trying to do, to help this economy. God has blessed you and your family in so many ways. Continue being who you are, love your wife and children and God will continue to increase. Much Love, Tenika Jones, NC

Dear President Obama, I am almost 50 years old and I you are one of the two presidents in my lifetime who has actually cared about the average working person. I am a Doctor of education and always choose the opportunity to make a difference over making a profit. Although there are always "nay sayers" I want you to be encouraged because you have made a difference I my life personally. At a time when my husband dropped out of school at UCLA due to his drug addiction; When I am supporting our daughter through college in America and Spain; Your policies regarding health care. extending the years for health coverage for college students, increasing the support to full time students and assisting with home affordable re-negotiations have personally helped me stay above water. In the midst of lay-offs, and working to support charter schools and small learning communities, don't always get compensated right away for my services. I appreciate your commitment to ALL Americans. I am an African - American, but realize I do not live in this world alone. You are right. You are good. M. Waters is wrong and narrow in her scope of thinking. I pray for you and your family daily and just want you to know that this is one American who is very proud and encouraged by your strength, tenacity and endurance. God Bless you, Mr. President!

August 27, 2011 The White House 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW Washington, DC 20500 The Honorable Barack Obama & The First Lady Michelle Obama My name is Mialka, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the assistance and the respond given to me in reference to my unemployment case (ALJ number: 010-34924). I received a response from the Unemployment Appeal Board on August 10, 2011 about my in case in which Leonard D. Pollettta and Michael T. Greason stated that I am allow to continue receiving unemployment benefits. It also states that due to the circumstances on how the course of the event took place I am not responsible for paying any benefits already given to me. I have been looking for employment including the workforce1 centers which the city provides for job search. I was successful with an application and interview in the private sector. I am very thankful to you, your wife and staff for taking the time to read my letter and addressing my concern to the proper agencies. I will still vote for you again and not just because you have helped me with this situation but I am confident that are going to make a difference in this country. We as believers and followers of Christ will receive strength, guidance and support from the one who sent him GOD. Some people say that you are not doing your job as a president but what they do not understand is that it is going to take time to fix something that was broken by someone else. I know that you are doing the best you can to fix and restore everything that is not in place. The church I attend (Fuente de Restauracion, in Brooklyn) prays for you and your family and staff all the time. I thank you again for your support, God Bless You. Sicerely Yours Mialka

Barack Obama, May God reward you for acknowledging this special month of Ramadan. Most Americans don't realized what Islam really is due to the one-side negative and distorted portrayal of Muslims in the news. The positive contributions of Muslim scholars particularly in the sciences has been erased from our history books along with the fact many Muslim slaves brought from Africa were also forced to become Christian. The news also ignores how Muslims immediately helped with a blood drive after 9/11 and fed Katrina survivors at the Astrodome and opened up their homes to them. I may not agree with all your political decisions but I would vote for you again. Your family has helped to bring diversity to our government in the greatness of how diverse our country really is. Thanks again! From an American born Muslim.

Dear President Obama, I just wanted to say thank you for being a great leader for our country. You have had many challenges while being faced with much criticism. You must believe that you have many more who are for you, than against you. I believe that you are not only very intelligent, but a honest person who has a great desire to make our nation better. Thank you especially for getting rid of Bin Laden.

History: Top five Presidents of all time.

Apr

Dear President Obama, At age 60, I have been around long enough, through several presidencies to feel confident in making the above statement. I was not able to experience FDR's reign, but was proud to have been old enough to be aware of the effectiveness of President Kennedy's term. Through all of the presidencies I have experienced, never before have I trusted the integrity of a president more than I trust yours. It is clear that you are working with both sides towards what you consider to be the best choices possible given party differences. You have taken America out of the deep chasm of unfair, greedy, non-compassionate politics of the George W. Bush abyss. It has been a long upward struggle and I know that you continue to put the best minds to work on all of the problems, as did Lincoln. I am deeply embarrassed that people expected immediate results, even though, in many cases you were able to achieve them. Sometimes I weep for what you have to tolerate. You wife Michelle is a testament to your integrity and your ability to make excellent choices. She is a brilliant mind in an elegant package, with a commitment to fairness for the American people. Thank you and thanks also to Michelle for your strong family values, for showing integrity and commitment to the American people through example, and for being willing to do these most difficult jobs of all: President and First Lady. Thank you for not giving up, although I can see that the negativity sent your way is quite difficult to endure. Please accept this deepest gratitude for you both. What an honor to live during your presidency.

Dear Mr. President I watched your State of the Union Address from a small community in the Northwest Territories. I am inspired to write and encourage you and all American people to continue what you have started. The current polictical wrangling by party politics is strangling our Countries. We are all in this together, no mater where we are from and if we do not work together our countries, lifestyles and our children's future's are in for some serious hard times. I do the best I can everyday, not for me but for my two children, my family, my extended family and my community and I encourage everyone to seriously consider their everyday actions and could they have made something better for someone, somewhere today or tomorrow. Keep up the good work and stay the course. I was fondly remembering the JFK speech: "Ask not what your country will do for you, What will you do for your country." I did feel and hear you add: think about what you can do for your family, your friends and those with more need than you, it may only be by starting with a kind word for everyone you meet today, that changes how someone else feels and changes their day. Take care Randy PS The Republican Response that followed, made me feel like he was not at the same event. He attended without listening with an open mind and had a pre written speech that was about fear and worry and not about, Yes I can roll up my sleeves get on board for my country and my children, to do the best I can for all the people I represent and instead presented the The Party Line.
