Dear President Barack Obama:

This is why I am mad at this country. I have worked and paid my taxes for the last 28 years. Five years ago my company bumped me out of the tool room and in to production and gave me an $8 an hour pay cut. Things were going downhill from there.

I am a single parent that qualifies for food stamps put is too proud to take them. I have always got by. But I had to make a change, I could either stop making payments like everyone else till I get kicked out with the 20,000 plus payments in my pocket or take some of my 401k and pay it down so I could keep my house. I made the wrong choice and chose to keep my house. I paid my taxes and wanted to get out of the 10% penalty for early withdraw. But everyone with every excuse but mine works.

Now I have to sell my house for what I owe and the next three years claim the loss on my taxes. So I pay $5,500 now to get $20,000 in the next three years. This does not make sense to me. Plus I will sign up for food stamps and anything else I can get.

Dear President Obama, I recently sold my small hog farm in Iowa because I had a stroke and a heart attack and could no longer take care of it. I also had lost my job and had to use most all of the money from the sale of the farm to pay bills and eat. We then had our taxes done only to find out we have to pay in $15,000 dollars and I do not know how we are going to do this. I had also been trying to put my twins through college which now may not be continued if I can't get this worked out. Can you please help me somehow?

good day sir,I am writing this out of despiration and sure it wont make it to your desk but will try anyhow !

I am a small business owner struggling to survive mainly TAXES,they are killing me litterally,i will be forced out of business soon as i cannot meet my tax liabilities.i have fallen behind and believe i will never catch up,and may end up in jail over all this.im sure im not alone as i know many businesses are closeing or taking to illegal practices to make ends meet.

TAXES oh my god there are so many it is totally confusing,i think there are 9 or more regular taxes i pay just for a start,then break down to even more a partial list is federal personal taxes,state personal taxes , pit , edd , ui, federal unemployment , state unemployment , sui , 940 , 941 , sales tax ,disability , sdi, and many more i cant think of off the top of my head.at this point i am in tax debt of over $40,000.00 and personally have made $0.00 many years at best recently $35,000.00 / year.my employees make more then I do !

I suggest a tax amnesty for small businesses ,to get the economy going you need to get people to spend but people are affraid to becouse of TAXES looming over their heads, a tax amnesty for small businesses would free up so much money business owners would be able to spend money with no fear which would encourage everyone to spend money money moving would turn the economy around !!

I am not a theif and am very honest but with all this TAX DEBT i may be forced to seek out other ways to get money possibly being forced to illegal means,again more possibility of being jailed,and im sure there are many in the same position,you cant put everyone in jail !!! jails are for bad people not for good unfortunate overTAXED small business owners !!

I have nightmares day and night about TAXES...about weather im going to make payroll this week ,will there be another lein against me and my bank accounts be drained again,will i go to JAIL soon,this is no way to live and have considered finding a way to just end it all,they cant tax the dead !!

I see no future except a horrible life ahead of me,looking for releif is a joke noone cares about a simple man with no kids no family just a small failing business with 6 employees,and it all seems to be getting much worse.

I also run a charitable non-profit food pantry and the number of people / families seeking food is growing steadily,the future looks bleaknot only for me but for almost everyone i know.

you ask why do i stay in business ?? well what are my options give up my business and become another of the growing number of broke homeless people i am 55 years old my body is all busted up who would hire me , even if there were any jobs ?? scared to death of loosing what little i have and possible jail or prison,maybe that is it just go to jail and let the government take care of my needs,OH DEAR GOD,HAVE MERCY ON ME !!

so out of despiration i write this with little hope of it reaching you but again with the only possible solution to clear the tax debt of small business and let us all start living again a TAX AMNESTY is the solution!!

Mr. President. My name is Marisa L. Weakley. I am owner/managing member of Mid Valley Homecare Services, LLC in Mercedes, TX 78570. FEIN=38-3795408. My dream was to help the elderly since I have no children of my own. Because of our fathers/mothers we are where we are today. I ran into trouble with a consultant when I started this company and was held information hostage for about 2 yrs until I hired a new lawyer and got rid of him. Unfortunately I was in the hole in taxes unpaid. The amount was not what hurt me the most. (I withdrew from my retirement and ran up credit card debt). It was the amount of the penalties and interest added to the total figure and it still keeps adding up. How can I move forward when I keep paying and you keep adding to my figure. I have 140 employees on the payroll and am having a hard time making ends meet. Please help me in resolving these charges that keep going up. I am paid current 2011 and all of 2010 and but am battling the amount in the rears. I believe I am at about $ 44,XXX.00. I beg of you to please have someone look at my dilemma. I cannot afford to close shop with these many employees, but I also cannot afford to charge anymore on my credit cards to keep the doors open and still meet my tax requirements. HELP, HELP, HELP. I have been writing to you for the past year and have seen no results. Banks, car companies and other businesses have been baled out but I'm still struggling.

Please Help.

I really think we need to do something about the taxes in this country. I dont think we need something drastic like the 9-9-9 plan (what is that anyway?) but the tax laws in this country are outdated and need to be changed!

Dear President Obama, You should stop the war if you don't i will keep on saying the same thing until you do it. I wish you do not make tax go so high - people are mad at you because you only make money for just war now that's got to go and make money only to schools and jobs and make the world happy aging and not bad things to this world. Dear President Obama, Through our war in Iraq, a diamond can be found to assist the common man as well as the mighty giants. Better yet, it has been found, but not instituted. Huge enterprises, banks, and politicians, as well as the little man, such as myself, have bought into this on an astronomical scale. The best three words to describe this undertaking, in my opinion, would be " what national debt?" You and your cabinet are fully aware of what I mean. This happened in the previous Gulf War and people became financially secure for life. I personally know one of these gentlemen who is one of our closest friends. Pieces around the globe are turning that will save our nation.I also know that in recently happened in Vietnam. Nowhere near as large a scale as what will take place in Iraq, but still relevant. Is it just that Iraq had so far to come technologically,or is it in the idle hands of politicians? Either way, please make this happen soon. Many families have bought into this "item" in hopes of erasing debt and saving homes. Your people need you. They need you now, more so than ever. You have already proven yourself to be a man of focus, greatness, and perseverance. With this, you bring massive amounts of wealth and long term growth to our great country. As I stated before, I am not telling you something that you don't already know. I am a conservative, but as an American it is my job to support you or whomever is in office in any means that I can. I realize this is only a letter, but I hope that in some way it helps you. I am no major business owner, just a college student who is a patriot and one that loves his people. Mr. President, You don't have a clue, this is oblivious. You are lost and those You've surrounded yourself with are radicals, tax cheats and criminals. You must know you are destroying our country!! How could you not? You have a Senate vetted and approved Cabinet yet you elect to use a gang of unknown (except to you) czars that have more power and answer only to you. The PEOPLE are awake! You sir, are an embarrassment to the USA. You have forced your agenda on us long enough. Any rational person using a little common sense can see right through you. You are bought and paid for by the highest bidder... Big banks, Solyndra, GE, ACORN, unions etc. The President of the USA works for the people of the USA, not any other country, company, organization or people! The President of the USA is not above the Constitution or laws of the USA. The Administrative Branch of our government is a mass of cronyism and corruption. Followed closely by the Legislation Branch... Then comes the agenda driven Judicial Branch. Our Government needs an enema. We need to drain the swamp (words from the past) but more applicable now than ever before!!! It is truly amazing, how you profess to be here for WE THE PEOPLE, yet you do everything in your power to screw us. You seem to care more for all these foreign countries and are so willing to give OUR money away, when you have people here in your own country struggling everyday. How does it feel to finally know you surpassed Jimmy Carter to be the worst "President"(I use that term loosely) we have ever had? Your ego is sickening! I just wish you had kept your promises, oh wait.. you did, You proclaimed there would be a change.. you got that one right, we only have change left in our pockets and you single handedly have pretty much bankrupted our country. Dear Mr. President. I hope you can tell me what I should do or offer me some type of help. I was "laid off" of my job in July 2009. I did not find a temporary job until October 2010. Thanks to Unemployment I was able to tread water. The temporary job ended in February. Since then I have lost my home and everything in it. I want to pay my bills, but I have absolutely no income. The biggest problem I have is TAX. The State (DC) Authority claims I owe them over $900. They threaten to put a lien on my bank account. The current balance is -0-, and that means, when I finally get a job, they will take all the money I can put in there. I don't want to be a millionaire, I just want to pay my bills. It seems like I will NEVER get ahead! I owe everybody in my family who has loaned me money. They know I can never pay them back. This is ridiculous. It wouldn't help to kill myself because I can't afford life insurance and it wouldn't be worth it. What are you going to do about this? I am sure I am not the only one. It seems like all you are doing is making false promises. You said you were going to stimulate the economy. When did it happen? I know you said during your inauguration speech all this could not be fixed in 4 years, but it seems like you have forgotten us. I know you are having issues, but so are the middle aged people right in your very own backyard. I live in the US, and also in DC. Less than 12 miles from you and sometimes I wonder how I am going to eat! Mr. President, your own people need you now!
