This is just not fair

Aug

Dear Mr. President, This might be a unusual letter but I am not sure If you really aware how some people are treated. Me and my husband are Germans, we visited your country for 25 years, loving it each year more and more. We decided to leave Germany and move to Florida to buy an existing business to get a business visa. First we bought us a mobile home to avoid the expensive cost for a hotel. After only 8 weeks we got an eviction note. A developer wanted to buy the whole 55 + park. Our former board president asked all residents to form a Co-op to buy the park ourselves. We were also asked but we told him that we are looking for a good business and that we need the money for it. He asked if there is anything else what could make it possible to get a visa. We told him we just know the only way would be a working visa. He said, thats not a problem and we could work for him at the office. So we gave all our money to form a Co-op and buy the park. After 4 weeks we asked him for his promise. All he said ,oh this is too complicated, have a nice day. So we had no money and had to leave every 1/2 year and start in Germany all over again. After hurricane Wilma we overstayed our visa. When we came back from Germany we were denied to get in the country because of this overstay. They told us to wait another 3 years then apply for a visa. We did and were denied again. After now 4 years we applied again for a visa, and again we were denied. We left so much money in your country and there is also a part or our heart. Not only that we have the mobile home there for which we have to care and to pay taxes we also have 2 relatives who are 79 and 86 . We just think that this is not fair. We already payed the price. Not giving us another visa is not understandable.Having a mobile home there might look for the consular persons that we want to stay but this is just not true. My husband is already retired we just wanted to return to enjoy the weather and enjoy our home. All dreams are destroyed now. And all this because of one overstay.

Pre-Existing denial's from Health Insurance Carriers

Jun

Mr. President,  First and foremost, I would like to thank you for your courage and inspiration you have given to myself and my family.   I find myself writing to you regarding the healthcare no pre-existing for denial thing... I am a 38 year old woman with 4 beautiful daughters.  I have ALWAYS had health insurance, until my husband and I divorced 3 years ago.  also, I have been diagnosed bi-polar manic with ADHD since I was in my early 20's.  Over the last 3 years of my "no insurance" life, I have continued to see my local county mental health clinic, and stayed on my meds out of my pocket.  Fast forwar to April, 2010, my ex-husband and I reconcilled our relationship and our famiily... and found a new home to move into together.  A week before we moved in, I found a lump in my breast.  Three weeks after moving into our new home, I found a lump in my other breast as well.  I applied to two different companies, BCBS, and through Farm Bureau... I have NOT been or talked to a Dr. yet because specifically I am terrified of the pre-existing thing... apparantly that was for goosd cause... I got a denial from BCBS stating specifically in black & white I am denied because of my bipolar and adhd diagnosis, and just recieved a duplicate denial letter from farm bureau for the same reasons.   I recently posted this as my status on my facebook page, This is prob not fb appropriate, but...its me, so whatev... So I haven't had health insurance for 3 years, found 2 lumpies in the girls, haven't been to the Dr. Yet, (cuz I'm freaked out & becausew no insurance), and now I try to buy insurance & I'm denied? Great... Now what am I going to do besides die from breast can...cer because I have no insurance? Seriously... Any suggestions anyone? In the 20+ responses I received, a few mwntioned I should write to you, as this one.... I thought for sure no more denials for pre-existing conditions took affect immediately upon passage of Obamacare. That doesn't mean companies aren't still trying to get away with it though. You might try the White House website and see if you find something there about how to make sure you don't get denied So..... here I write... a very scared Mom in Lenexa, KS... If you ever do actually get to read this, and have any suggestions, I can be contacted at tracigentry3@yahoo.com, or my cell is 913-378-3760...   Again, thank you for your leadership of our country, I am soooo thankful for a change!   Respectfully,   Teresa (Traci) Gentry Lenexa, Kansas Read more about Pre-Existing denial's from Health Insurance Carriers

Denial after a long drawn out process with Wells Fargo

Jun

I have a long long story but I am frustrated after being through the Supposed HAMP program process. I need help I have called and resent my paperwork, which has been stacks of paperwork. I send everything they want and been lied to and stories change etc. I desparately need  help along with all the millions that (as I have read many many blogs of people going through the same thing). I had no Idea so many people have gone through exactly what I have been through, just to be told today that we were denied due to their inefficency. I asked to be considered from the very beginning of this process for the HAMP program after my husband lost his job & I was laid off and I heard about it on CNN. That was in Feb. 2009. I was told today to take what they offer which is not the HAMP or I could lose the ability to be reconsidered for Wells Fargo's Plan if I re-apply for the HAMP. It is only cutting my payment down a small fraction of original. The payment option would be OK if it still was not 40% of my Gross Income and about 50% of our net Income. We went through all of our lifes savings to keep up the payments on our home after my Husband losing 75% of his income. Our house has dropped dramatically in value as well. We have cut every corner to keep our home and cashed in our 401K. We lost our income 2 1/2 yrs ago. We lasted one and half yrs on what we had saved. Then I was laid off and then ouch. We are not dead beats. Even though my husband lost his job he has not stopped working even though it is considerbly less. He probbably could of made more on unemployment but only collected for 1 month after he lost his job. There are many many people that need help with this process. I know that some things have changed recently with this program; however it is very weird that I was denied the HAMP just yesterday as the new revisions have been made. Actually they denied me a month ago because they said I did not have the paperwork they needed in which I did and then they said I could reapply last month after I called a bazillion times. Then today I was told that I was not reconsidered afterall. Only reconsidered for what Wells Fargo had to offer. This has been a nightmare and it seems that their is no where to turn. Please help!!!! sheri@berrydoorco.com

MHA Denial- BOA strung me along for over almost 2yrs.

Jun

It is too long to explain the heart ache I am going through struggling from being a temp to finally being hired full-time to losing my home, how can your mortgage company not try to help as much as they say knowing your income dropped by almost 50% and you being in a high risk loan by Countrywide in the first place.  I was denied because legally I did not miss the trial payments, they said continue to pay what I was paying after the trial period was over and this is what I wrote to my consultant a a firm I have worked with over a year to get my home saved, this is just to make it short my history is way too long with who I tried to write, what help is out there, sad thing is you have this program but who is enforcing these banks to make sure they sign you into them instead of putting in a home program by them they want you to fail that is why they string you along one slip and you are denied so unfair yet they can ask for the same documents over say they will give you an answer then ask for more.   Anoynomus, Good afternoon.  The attached is the letter I received on the 26th Of May.  I notice that they are saying I was denied for the MHA because my trial payments were not made on time.  This is my side.    I submitted my trial payments on time, and then they extended it still furthering review for many months.  When they requested more documentation I sent it also noting my financial situation that in the month of November and December I feel behind on those trial payments, because I was temping was not full-time and did not get holiday pay, so my check was short the amounts.    In January I begin paying back November and December and I started paying them twice a month to make up for my financial hardship, doing that to keep my modification under review I had my car repossessed because it was either mortgage or car.   I was put in a mortgage rate where it was much higher than my salary ratio to keep, so that whenever a recession like now came across it would be impossible to keep paying that high rate and maintain my home.  I am not looking for anything but a loan that is manageable for my income that I will never have to go through this again that is all I am asking.   I am writing you this to communicate and let you know why my payments when they extended it and used more time to modify my loan I went behind, but caught up.
