Hello, Mr. President, My name is Tieaira John and I am from Church Point, Louisiana. I am 18 years old and I am attending college at the Louisiana State University in Eunice. I found out that I was 14 weeks pregnant today and hearing another life's heartbeat inside me for the first time made me cry. I know that you really cant help me raise a child. But I am writing you today because I was wondering if I could get some kind assistance from you. It's my first child and I am just finishing high school and I want to make sure that I am able to provide a good a stable life for my child. Im asking you that you help me get started. Dear Mr. President, I'm writing to you to propose a bill or something of the sort. I was working a year at a medical facility called Atlanta Medical Group here in Cartersville Georgia when they were shut down by the F.B.I. for illegal drug dealing.I'm a single mother of three who has worked very hard to provide for my children with a roof over their head, transportation, food on the table etc. Without the help of their fathers ,they don't even pay child support. I know I'm not the only one, for there is always someone doing worse than myself. I put all my faith in Jesus christ. It will all work out for the better and I know having my faith in him t it is already done because "YES HE CAN" LOL. I was wondering about starting a program that will allow people who don't purposely lose their jobs to be able to make some sort of payment and not lose everything they've worked so hard for. Example: I'm bout to lose my car. It was a total of 11,000 when I bought it and I've paid in 4,000 dollars. I've paid every month and even called ahead of time when I was going to be late. Since I've lost my job, I'm 3 months behind and their wanting to repo my car. I feel being that I was a good customer, they should just work on taking lower payments until I find a job so that I can keep my car. I don't want to file bankruptcy because I want a house sometime in the near future and doing so will not allow me to do that by filing bankruptcy. so what can I do? please help me!

President Obama, At the age of 17 I decided to enlist in the military to help my country. With a score of 98 on the ASVAB the possibilities were open to me. Though that fell through as I received a uncharacteristic discharge for fraudulent enlistment (recruiter falsified documents). After that I very stupidly dropped out of high school , quite literally made a mess of my life. At the age of 18 I decided to go to Job Corp. To my surprise this is where they will stick criminal offenders instead of jail. While in Job Corp a guy called Pittbull who just happened to be one of those offenders decided to hit me in the face with a dumbbell. Crushing my sinus cavities and breaking my orbital bone. The only action that was made was sending me home. After coming home I had to undergo emergency surgery. When I awoke I had a shiny new titanium alloy plate in my head and never heard from Job Corp again. From there I quite literally strung my life out on drugs. In 2005 I met my lovely wife and her three kids. This changed me as a person. While not sure of my impact on them they’re impact on me was substantial. I worked hard to provide for my family. Still, with out any education I had to try very hard to achieve. In 2009 I was hired by a hotel as a maintenance tech. Through hard work and determination I worked to become the head maintenance tech. I had a crew of four employees working for me and I was responsible for all repairs and upkeep. Then in 2001 I was laid off due to bad economy. I was told “I couldn’t be paid what I was worth.”. So then I tried to find a job only to find that with my current lack of education I could not get anything. In January I decided to go and get my GED. I didn’t study or prep I just went and paid the fee and two days later took the test. To my surprise I scored in top 5% of all graduates. I am now currently trying to get into college this fall. But to my dismay I cannot get any financial aid to help me and as I am still unable to procure a job. This makes bettering my life very difficult. The only comfort I have is the love of my wife and kids and my only goal is to be able to provide the stability they deserve. Can anyone please help me?

President Obama, I am writing this letter to give you some simple advice regarding the budget. Like any good budget the key is spending less than you make. Its so easy right? President Obama, Social Security and Medicare cuts irritate me - as well as the rest of the people in this country. I don't hear a darn thing about any entitlement cuts for the three branches of our government. I don't hear a thing about welfare being cut. I don't hear a thing about illegal aliens being knocked off of entitlements. I don't hear anything about the people who have never paid into social security being knocked off of their money tree. Please, please, please leave these two things alone. I am a nice quiet Grandma, and I worry about what is going to happen to the United States if you don't. There are so many radicals in this country who are eventually going to rise up to a rebellion if things keep going, and I don't want to see this happen. I feel you are pushing them into a corner. People who are low income in this country cannot afford to put money back for their retirement. Do not give into the Republicans.

Mr President, If the budget is too much for you geniuses on capital hill to handle, get a group of housewives and homemakers to straighten it out. Stop robbing the poor to give to the rich. It's starting to cause a rift between the haves and the havenots. Cut nonessential, wasteful, ridiculous spending to the BONE. Close all the tax loopholes and eliminate all the so called "tax breaks" for the rich. They don't NEED it and a lot of them don't even WANT it. And why can't ANYBODY understand that you can't pay the bills if there's no money COMING IN??????? That's taxes! The whole country is asked to tighten their belts and make sacrifices to get through this mess, but the fat cats in Washington aren't making any sacrifices. All the budget cuts, hurt the people that need those services the most. The rich don't need them OR use them. It's easy to take the roof away from people you donn't know. I'll bet there's no one on capital hill living out of their cars. Every budget cut puts more people on the street. How's THAT helping the economy? We're turning into a third world country. Hello, my name is Erika Gordon. I am 25 year old woman facing extreme hardship in Harrisonburg, VA. I have had a job since 14 years of age, and yes I come from a single parent home. A series of unfortunate events have lead me to be homeless at 8 months pregnant. I have a job, I pay my taxes and I even vote. I have acquired all the government assistance I am eligible for. I am still unable to afford a car or a home. In my current situation it is only somewhat helpful. I know I am not the only person facing these trials in the U.S.A., and certainly not in VA. Why is there no section 8 available here for 2 years? Why is there no emergency housing? Why is there no affordable housing for single parents? Why are people attempting to help themselves unable to find help from our government? Why is it that to apply for assistance you have to use your gross income when taxes are and will be withdrawal from paychecks, then your told you make to much based on this amount? How is this fair? I am aware of economy is not so great at the moment, however we don't lower taxes or the cost of living, it just keeps rising.
