You, Mr. Obama, have restored my faith in the American Dream
Dear President Obama, I would like to begin by congratulating you on surviving the longest election, ever! I'm so glad it's over and that the Forces of Good prevailed. Your win has inspired so many Americans, like myself to dream again.
For eight long years, the majority of my adult life, I lived in fear of my government, disdain for my President, and with the certainty that this country had lost it's way. But you, Mr. Obama have restored my faith in the American Dream. Your victory has brought a breath of fresh air to a stagnant environment that was created by Bush and his Henchmen. Thank you for having the courage to lead. Thank you for having the courage to dream. Now that you are the President of this great country, I hope that you continue to have the same courage of conviction, as you did while in the Senate and during your campaign. Please don't let the power corrupt you. This is my biggest fear. Many a great man has fallen for his love of power, but I have faith that you will not fall prey to the temptations of your new post in life. You are inheriting a big mess, I can't imagine the burden you will carry. But don't let it overwhelm you. Take it one step at a time. Many will be pushing and shoving to get what they want from you, but I believe that you will do what is most important for the people of this country. As for those who don't like the idea of you being the President, to hell with them. History will prove that you were what this ailing nation needed. Don't forget the people who put you in office. Mr.President, I am so sorry to interrupt you during your busy work schudale but im concerned about the future of Youngstown Early College.Recently Governor Strickland has cut Early College off the state budget. Mr.President please ask Gov.Strickland to add Early College back on the budget.Not only does Early college give you the opportunity to graduate from its school but allow you to earn an Assocciates Degree before you even reach college ,and it also gives you an opportunity to go to Youngstown State University.Please Mr.Prsident HELP US!!!!!. US. Dear President Obama, I will get straight to the point. I know you did not make this mess of all messes with the economy, but there are millions of people without paying there bills and to care for there kids. The 99ERS NEED A TIER V AND UNEMPLOYMENT SHOULD be FIRST PRIORTY on the agenda. START WITH HOME FIRST USA. PUT YOUR SELF IN OUR SHOES AND GO WITHOUT HOW WOULD YOU FEEL? You don't have to worry about where you can lay your heard at night in the safety of your own home and tuck you kids in at night and them knowing it's gonna be alright. How do you think this makes us feel about our families NOT KNOWING. Yes there are other issures that need to be address, but never over KIDS. Do you know what type of effect this will impact on them. From having to having nothing all gone in a blink of an eye. How about EVERYONE meaning Republicans, Democracts, Senators and the rest of the gang go with no money for 30 Days. Hope you read this one Mr.Obama! Because THIS IS THE VOICE OF AMERICA! If you turn a blind EAR to this man or woman's plee, than you do not belong in the Oval Office! I have been screaming for quite a while about "WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN!" But still, nothing. Instead, all I hear on the Media is how lazy the Americans that need an unemployment extension are! How we just want to lay back and let the Government pay our bills! Unbelievable! Like the UE payments we get can really pay all our bills! This person has the right idea. Anyone who has called the Americans who lost their jobs through no fault of their own "LAZY" really should be made to walk a mile in our shoes! This should be mandatory! These politicians and Media persons who make so much damn money have no idea what we and our children are going through! You can't possibly find a job WHEN THERE ARE NONE! So many were out-sourced to other countries! And now that it has become an "Employers Market" the discrimination going on is criminal. No regulations there! things like "Unemployed need not Apply" are going on and no one does anything to stop it. People are getting laid-off by employers who are letting the few employees they have left do the work of three people with NO OVERTIME OR RAISES! And what do these employees get if they complain? "Consider yourself lucky to have a job!" Why is this allowed to happen in the Work Force! Do you really think these employers are NOT HIRING Illegals for minimum wage! Why is it expected that the Middle-Class and Baby-Boomers, who have worked hard all their lives to get where they WERE, should go back to minimum wage or "We'll hire the Illegals!" Does anyone get this? Our 401K's were rifled by Wall Streets (Now mines gone - had to live on something when my UE ran out!) and I guess that was OK with today's Administration also! I'm 60 years old now, and after working hard for 40 years, I have lost everything! GOD BLESS AMERICA AND THE HANDS IT WAS PUT INTO! AGE DISCRIMINATION IN THE WORK FORCE ALSO! Too Damn Over-Qualified! Polite way of saying, you're too good, and I don't want to pay you what you're worth!
