Why did my college finacial aid get cut?

Dear Mr. Obama,

I am a 32 year old college student in Tucson, AZ. I grew up without a father. I have seen statistics and they are stacked against me, I know this. But my gosh man, I am trying to make the best out of a bad situation and I feel my resources being cut are less than harsh. I am doing the best I can overcoming the obvious as far as statistics like higher rate of suicide, drug abuse, and imprisonment for fatherless children. I just don't understand that there are people that just pop out babies out of wedlock and recieve government funding for the rest of there lives. When there are folks like myself from literally the middle of Montana that have ambition and determination to make something of myself. But yet I have a hard time getting a fraction of money from the government to continue my education.

I moved to Arizona in the beginning of 2012 to pursue a degree in Sociology. My brother lives here, so that it was persuaded me to move south, and the warm weather of course. i love to golf as well. I just think we need to be more aware of what our students are encountering rather than some people that have just gave up. Why don't we give drug tests for welfare applicants? At least that might make them think twice about working the system. I just had a Criminology class that showed a drug dealer that made a great deal of cash, drove a hummer had a million dollar home, yet was on ACCESS healthcare along with 200 dollars in food stamps a month. My point is that I need that money and healthcare for my education and to do my part to better society bro. I know lifes not fair thats just the way it is but lets open our eyes man, and make a difference in the little things and see how much impact it has on the future for our country.

Dear Mr President,

Hello my name is Ruth Roberson I am a 34 year old recent college graduate. After all the ups and downs I, have encountered I find it hard to understand how student loan companies can press on payments when the failing economy has not permitted myself or other recent grads to obtain career worthy employment, with over 30,000 in student loans; no job and constant deferments I ask is there any hope for this failing economy. There should be some restrictions that prevent constant loan interest if the economy does not permit employment. Has any one considered deducting fees for every year an individual's career choice is in hardship?

Respectfully,

Unemployed Grad
