Veterans not getting the service they need

Dear President Obama,

Our vets have served us and we are doing them a disservice with the delay in conferring benefits for tuition, books, etc.  The transition is tough enough and integrating into classes is challenging enough when you have your books, but delay and multiple changes of case managers is symptomatic of what our vets are experiencing.

As I'm sure you are aware, the military culture does not support complaining.  So when a vet does voice that a problem exists, the reaction is often not positive but worsens.

My proposed solution is to evaluate the entire process and talk to vets about where the problems exist.  Hire more people if necessary, automate where you can and let's make it easy for out vets to go back to school.

Thank you and Michelle for all your devoted service, you have my vote in 2012.

Warm regards,

Cheryl

P.S. We share the same birthday - August 4th although I'm two years your senior :)
