Here is my personal story.

Apr
06

My name is Gisela. I was born In Venezuela and I came to this Country twenty years ago, and two years and a half ago I became an American citizen. I am proud to be an American I can say that feeling all the emotions that I experienced the day I was reborn. I gave birth my own self the day I became an American citizen. When I was a kid I always dreamed with this Country as my own with not reasons just like that. My first trip to the States was in 1967 to New York City. I was a flight attendant in a Venezuelan Airlines ( VIASA} Venezuelan International Airways. That day was memorable for me. I never saw any thing like it. I came from a middle class family were traveling was just for rich people or simply dreamers like me but the difference is that I always keep my dreams alive until I made them come true. So I did it, I started traveling ever since and I never stop. I was born in October 1944. I am the kid number three in a family of six . I consider my self a very smart person I graduated as an Attorney at Law in the most important law school in Venezuela, The Central University of Venezuela also one of the most important ones in South America. I got very good grades . I was not the best but I was among the best. A year before the President Obama became our President I had a dream: ""I was at the John Fitsgerald Kennedy Airport waiting for my plane to come back to Phoenix, Arizona that is my adoptive State and Barack Obama was not even the Democrat Candidate yet, he and Michelle walked in the room were I was and I stood up and walked towards them and I told him you are the next President of the United States of America and the two of them look at me like they new me and Barack Obama hugged me with such a warmth feeling that I woke up with a vivid experience and I told my husband Barack Obama is the next President of the United States of America and he said he believed that is going to happen.

I voted for him knowing since the first time I heard him speaking he was going to be our President. I think he is a real human being , he has real feelings and passion for people that politicians usually do not have. The President of this Country has to see our life the way Mister President Obama sees it. He is a man that walks his words he lives his life as an honest person does it that is what I like the most about the two of you. When I came to America I was not able to speak English nor write or read it but I have a purpose an intention to be somebody totally new I was 46 year of age with a bag of dream under my arms, one of them was to become an American Citizen and I new already that I had to work hard in order to achieve it so I started, the day after I arrived I found the possibility to learn English, so I did it.

Few months later ( 6) I was able to communicate in English. I performed different jobs I cooked, babysat, cleaned houses, and I became a Master Gardener at The University of Arizona. They have a program to teach people how to garden the right way so I did it and I created a Landscape Business and a House cleaning Business and is the way that I created money since twenty years ago till the present . Today I am ready for my next dream to become true I want to be invited by Michelle Obama and Mr. President Obama to visit the White House the only thing is that right now I do not have the money to go, so I would like for the Obama family to sponsor me that way I will be able to meet them personally.

I do not know if this letter will be read by them but please let them know that I sent it . I have another dream and I also need their help and that is to have a master degree in Harvard University and I know that it is very expensive but I also know that everything is possible if we are open for things to happen to us. I am ready for my next step that is to do something bigger for My Country that received me and gave me the possibility to be free and fly for real . I need all the help you can possible give me. I will not let you down I will put all my effort to take advantage of the opportunity. How can you help me? I do not know it, you know how you probably had help somebody else before you are the President please help me and you will never regretted it. I am a contributor to the President Obama Campaign. My best wishes for you and looking forward to hearing from you soon. Giselle. Read more about Here is my personal story.

Syria Intervention

Apr
05

Dear President Obama,

First of all, I would like to thank you for the progress that was made on Sunday towards intervention in the conflict in Syria. When I first began to hear about what was happening there, my initial instinct was "Well of course we should help, people are being slaughtered by their government!" I was not impressed with the United Nation's hesitancy to intervene until I began to read more about the risks that are involved in lending aid, in regards to political uncertainty with how this will affect relationships with other Arab nations and uncertainty about what may happen should the Syrian National Council successfully overthrow Assad and take power themselves. However, I do still believe that it is our right and our duty as Americans to lend aid to other countries, even though we ourselves are also in desperate need of help. I am not politically wise enough to offer any advice on what course of action would be "best" to take in regards to Syria, but I do want to encourage you to continue to send aid at least in some way that will help save people's lives. I also want you to know that, now that I am beginning to understand the importance of political participation, I will be praying for you and for your administration, and that every decision you make, you will make to glorify God, above yourself and above other people.

Also, if there is any specific website or article or newspaper where I can follow this story more closely, please let me know so I can stay informed.

Sincerely from an American Student,
Scott Read more about Syria Intervention

KONY 2012

Apr
03

Dear Barack Obama,

My name is Kindra, and I am writing to you to thank you for taking action in KONY 2012. Abducting children and forcing them to kill their parents is something we need to put an end too. We need to insure that people in Africa wake up in the morning feeling safe. In order to do this we need to capture Mr. Kony.

I first became aware of this issue when I saw it on a social network. Unfortunately, I had no clue who Kony was until I watched the video. The first subject that came to my mind was, why didn't we do anything about Mr. Kony before. Twenty-six years in a very long time to just ignore the subject. I have came to the realization that I can make a difference with just one letter. In my mind, I believe that the minors involved in LRA deserve a fighting chance at returning home safely.

If people all around America are informed about Joseph's cruel treatment, they would want to take a stand also. If we, the citizens of the United States, can make Mr. Kony famous, he will be captured. Just imagine how many lives you will be saving.

Thank you for all your support on KONY 2012.

Good Job!

Mar
28

Hello There Sir;

I would like to say your doing the best you can in all things. Although people are whining about gas, health ect... I don't think they understand the big picture, and who does.

Like healthcare, good idea only going the wrong way in fixing it. Most problems are what the hospitals do charge for; like $7.00 for one asprin. Could buy a bottle at Walmart for $1.25 for 50 of them! Sad to say it just that this Country has gone so money hungry for anything, it's all people think of anymore.

As for gas, lets face it, go to another Country and you pay twice what we pay per gal. I say gas should be at least $6.00 gal and look for other ways to get around. Whatever happened to walking, riding a bike these days?  Its just a waste of gas to drive a block to go to the PO. Everybody has at least 2 cars, more cars then people!

Anyway, do pray for you. God how do you sleep at night? Since you have been in Office you look like you gained 10yrs in age! I feel for you and wish you the best. Good Luck and try to get some rest! Read more about Good Job!
