The reason behind me saying this is because I have had a brother who went to prison and have had family friends who, with the same result, obviously ended in the system. I mean who hasn’t right?
My concern is mainly the freedom of speech. I mean everything else is taken away. I believe regardless of an act that put them there, not that I am justifying it as ok, to do anything above the law or hurt your own community or people around you, but they are also human beings that eat, breath, sleep and no we don’t share the same DNA body type or color but at the end of the day we all have red blood running threw are veins.
What I am trying to stress is that everybody has a voice. Some express it through music, writing poetry, etc.. Though I've seen for many years the system trying to discover ways to change or help the community through churches, education, degrees and all that has helped but not enough. I feel if you give OUR PEOPLE, yes our people, my brother, sister--your cousin, aunt, uncle--whom ever it may be, an out, then it may not only be to express them self but also to have that outlet they crave. Especially when they crave it from being inside closed walls.
Some people may say this is crazy. Some believe that our prisoners are there to do their time. Some don't care what happens to them in prison. And this is not just coming from the victims but people who barley know these peoples' back ground. Just because they are now in the system they feel as if they lost all emotion or feeling or heart towards these people we call animals people who we look down on as the lowest of lows sum of the earth call names because of the action that landed them there that same attitude today is only making it worse instead of helping them recover and bounce back.
By not caring and giving these prisoners help, you're not only hurting them with the grudges or hate you store inside you but you also are hurting your self because at the end of the day god hears your hate.
So I feel that having studios in prisons, maybe even worldwide, could give that man on suicide watch another reason to live or the man behind bars serving life an opportunity to express feelings that been suppressed and bound inside him while he is imprisoned behind walls. All I can say is, "Why not? Why not start here? Why not better THE (US)A? Start from the source of the problem and work your way to a better you a better me and a better U.S.A. And why stop there?"!

Dear Respected Sir, Mr Obama

I write my plea for your help.

Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana is to be hanged on 31st March 2012 in Punjab, India. The Indian Government is executing a death warrant against Mr Rajoana who has served his punishment, and has then been held captive, whilst friends of the Indian Government who have perpertrated numerous heinious crimes against Sikhs and admitted them roam free to live luxurious lifestyles.

Mr Rajoana was charged a life sentence for the assassination of Beant Singh, the man who had admitted to conspiring in the killing of thousands of Sikhs. Mr Rajoana has served his sentence, admitting to stopping Beant Singh from killing further. In fact, Mr Rajoana was not set free at the end of his sentence, but a death penalty was ordered. European Sikh media have managed to get hold of this story, as it is one of many which the Indian Government have gotten away with.

I ask for your help, to stop a corrupt Government who is abusing their power against the innocent and causing unjustified death. If you cannot help, please let me know who can. Our peaceful protests are going unheard, and it is only a matter of time before the Indian Government find another unjustified excuse to open fire on the innicent protestors.

Whenever Sikhism begins to flourish in India, the Indian Government are there to put a stop to it. Sikhs are protectors of all, but when it comes to keeping the numbers down, there is no thought given to their benevolent acts throughout history to save the nations time upon time, and they are murdered, raped, put into prison regardless of whether anyone knows about it or not.

Beant was responsible for overseeing the mass genocide of Sikhs and was responsible for giving police officers such as KPS Gill (known as ‘The Butcher of Punjab’), SSP Sumedh Saini, SSP Mohammad Izhar Alam (leader of the infamous Black Cats) and others a free reign to run operations that deliberately targeted the civilian population of Punjab. This lead to a period of forced disappearances, fake ‘encounter’ killings, brutal torture, illegal detention, mass rapes, illegal seizure of property and widespread intimidation of the Sikh population. Balwant Singh Rajoana was arrested in 1995 and has never denied involvement in the assassination plot. He has refused to make any appeals and has not recognised the authority of the courts in what has been called a matter of Sikh National Security and Sovereignty. Balwant Singh Rajoana has openly called for the death penalty recognising it as the only form of justice available to him under the Indian legal system. Dear President Obama,

I do not mean to interrupt you, but I was walking on the street and I saw something very bad.

My name is Ariella. What I saw on the street made me extremely sad. I saw 3 Tibetan people on the street with other Tibetans praying to get their culture back. The 3 Tibetan people are on there  33rd day of a hunger strike they only drink water and go to the bathroom when needed. The Chinese are taking over their culture and there language. They are not letting them pray. Out there in the cold, the 3 Tibetan men are parrying for people to come. Yet nobody even the media is paying attention to this. My ancestors went through this before in the holocaust. I don’t want Tibetans to end up dieing because of this. I think that there should be equal rights just like Africans are now holding hands with white people and Jews are allowed to do what they want. They should be that for Tibetans also. There is nobody that would want to help the Tibetans so I’m asking you is you could help me and all the other Tibetans get what they own back. It really shocked me to see that nobody is helping them.  Other people who strike in Manhattan are making lot of noise and being very annoying and people don’t want to help them. I get that, but when the Tibetans are being peaceful like they always are nobody helps them. I don’t know what to do because apparently peacefulness doesn’t help and screaming doesn’t help. I would really appreciate this if you could put some time in your busy schedule to help the Tibetans.

Dear Mr. President:

I have been a democrat all my life and, when you entered the race, I had such hope.  Clearly, the situation you faced when you took office was terrible, but it is much worse now.  I believed you when you said you would end the war.  Instead, we are involved in two wars and we also sent troops into Libya.  When is it going to stop?  We are bankrupting our country and for what? 

I live in a small town in Pennsylvania.  Good people are out of work and losing their homes. Gap toothed smiles may be charming on a child but for the rest of us, they are the mark of poverty and lack of health and dental insurance.  My sister recently adopted a golden retriever.  The family this dog came from had to give it away because they could no longer afford to feed him.  I am sure that your two little girls enjoy their dog very much. No child should have to endure such heartbreak.  They also should not have to live out of hotels and cars, but they do.

I am lucky.  My husband and I worked very hard and achieved success.  We live below our means, educated our child to become a responsible citizen, and devote our time to helping others.  We support my husband’s mother who hasn’t enough money to live on.  We have floated family members when they have lost their jobs. 

I want to believe that we can turn things around but I have lost faith in our government.  It does not serve the people.  I am sickened by the pompous, greedy, self-serving individuals that comprise the house and senate who place party before responsibility.  It is inconceivable to me that they cannot and will not work together.

As I follow the Republican debates looking for an alternative to what we have, I am appalled.  Newt Gingrich?  Really?  I’ve seen more honest looking people in a police line-up.

Sir, you must assert yourself and the strength of your office.  I want what is best for this country and war is not it.  One cannot help others when they are damaged themselves.  Something has got to give or we risk losing everything.

Like billions of people around the world, I had renewed confidence in revival of American values and improvement In the world when you where elected. This has not changed and I still respect you very much and see you the worlds best change to make it a better place. Having said that I have one question about substance of change of policy from supporting wrong rulers in the past and support for democracy at present. My question is, how could change of a ruler with out change in infrastructure of governance lead to democracy. I can accept that you can not change the culture of the countries like Iraq and Afghanistan but you could at least send some good policy makers to teach him to build an infrastructure for consultation processes and good governance (that by the America is leading in research of). This will have helped to build the foundation to keep the opening you have created by going to these countries and surly all will be lost without such a facility!
