Justice

Apr

Dear President Barack Obama:

We are the team members of the American broadcaster CNN, working in Moscow, Rossia. We're tired of waiting for justice from the Russian authorities, and we ask you to pomoch.20 August 2010 in Moscow, next to the subway Riverport, our reporter was arrested by two members of the Moscow Criminal Investigation Department.

Our reporter asked them to show the documents, they started beating him and pushed into the car and brought it into the main building of the Criminal Investigation Department. In recent months, the district police officer insists that our reporter is absolutely a normal person, was a psychiatric. They want to pronounce him insane, so his testimony is no longer legal.

My ask to you is for you to put pressure on the Russian authorities to admit that they have made an error in this case. Our reporter must be freed!

Sincerely,
The staff CNN, Moscow Read more about Justice

KONY 2012

Apr
25

Dear President Barack Obama:

My name is Jack and I am a twelve-year-old boy from New York. I'm writing to you because my friends showed me a video about Joseph Kony and the LRA (If you haven't seen it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4MnpzG5Sqc) and I was curious to see what you plan on doing about it.

I was hoping you would have the authority to make him known around the nation. I thought it would be a good idea to get adults involved because the video is mainly directed towards kids. I really hope you at least get this letter, you don't need to respond. I'm sure you have better things to do.

Thanks!

From,
Jack Read more about KONY 2012

Dear President Barack Obama,

My name is Natalie and I wanted to make this letter for you because it is not fair what Kony is doing in Uganda. And, for me it is just sad. Kony has a lot of power and we need to stop him. I hope you read this letter. I want to be one of the people who are really into stopping this because it is not fair. When I see what is happening, I feel like crying. I showed my mom, dad and the rest of my family and they were shocked.

You have to help stop Kony.

Stop Kony Now

Apr

Dear, Barack Obama: Will you help us stop Joseph Kony? He is kidnapping children in Africa. He is using the boys for soldiers in his army, and he is using the girls for sex slaves. He should be stopped by the end of 2012. I personally don’t know why he is doing what he is doing. Since you are the president you can make a big impact on the movement. He is the leader of the terrorist group, the LRA. Thank you for taking your time to read this.

Overseas Neighbor Needs Help

Apr
13

Hi I am writing from a distant land Polish. I do not know English so it can be hard to understand. In 2010 in Smolensk, there was an attack on the Polish president and other important persons. The whole country knows what happened 2 years ago and have received no evidence of the wreck's boxes. Power is not everything it shows on television. This is very bad. The President and the Prime Minister lie to the whole country and population. When will we accept to the fact that we are in the European Union? Asks the distraught man to whom he may seek help where they can. I hope for the truth, but still it is difficult. From Totem Middle School in Marysville, WA

Apr

Dear Mr. President,
We are writing you from Washington state to show our support for Kony 2012. A small group of students have showed interest and have put in time and effort into showing how much this movement really means to us here at Totem Middle School. We have made petitions which 207 of our students signed and we will be sending in. We also have handmade bracelets and posters to spread the word. Now staff and students have joined our movement to stop Joseph Kony and his war crimes. This whole idea started with me showing my teacher the Kony 2012 video, and the response from the students and the staff was great! We started right away doing what we can and brainstorming how we can impact our community. we plan on doing all what we can in our small city to spread the word, but the biggest support we need is from you to continue searching for and stopping Joseph Kony & the LRA in 2012
- Sincerely
Haydyn, Mia and Totem Middle School. Read more about From Totem Middle School in Marysville, WA

Stop Mr. Kony

Apr
03

Dear President Barack Obama,

My name is Jonathon, and I'm writing to tell you that I would like you to support the KONY 2012 campain. I watched the video clip, KONY 2012, at school. It is motivating me to help with the campaign. It makes me feel good knowing that I am helping somebody and I think many people will want to feel that way too. Mr. Kony needs to be stopped. With Mr. Kony stopped, it will help kids have a better future, not be scared to sleep at night, and be able to live like normal kids.

Please help kids like Jacob to be able to live a better life. they shouldn't be living like this.

Thank you for taking the time to read my letter.

Treyvon

Dear Mr. President,

Please take a step in the justice for Treyvon's family. You said that Treyvon would look like you, so my question is, how would you react if your sons killer went free? What is going on is plain wrong and frankly, I have never seen such injustice. Please help them find peace and arrest this man who pulled the trigger. Thank you.

Trayvon martin

Mar

President Obama,

Shock at the injustice -  Trayvon Martin

It is  a world tragedy that a young person full of life can be summarily murdered gratuitously
with the acquiesance of  the criminal injustice system  and the government of America and the police and the law.

This a massive tragedy in all respects, most importantly that Trayvon Martin´s life was severed brutally.

George Zimmerman, followed (against the advice of the 911 operator he spoke to ) and accosted Trayvon Martin  so how can
self defence apply when he was the attacker.

As former Florida Republican Gov. Jeb Bush, who signed the stand your ground legislation into law, said; he doubted it would apply in Zimmerman's case. "Stand your ground means stand your ground. It doesn't mean chase after somebody who's turned their back," he said while visiting a university in Texas.

But George Zimmerman is free even with these circumstances.

If George  Zimmerman is not arrested immediately and tried for first degree murder in cold blood then there is no justice,
no intention of  justice, and not even a pretence of justice - anyone can accost anyone else , summarily murder them, say ´selfdefence´, and walk off free.

Its not only an outrage, it is a massive plunge back into the days before the courts of law ,
the days of be quicker be stronger be crueller.

It is also a terrible tragedy that  will be repeated and repeated and repeated if  schools
are not ordered to  stop all normal classes and make the pupils  and teachers look into their hearts and minds and see what is there. Are there thoughts of murder and revenge? Are there thoughts of hate and hurting other beings, are their thoughts of dominating others, what is happening in your head?  George Zimmerman was a murderer in mind well before he materialized his evil thoughts. It is very apparent from the reports that he was obsessed with finding criminals, and obsessed with believing every black person is a criminal, obsessed with being  the absolute dominator, the boss, the judge and the exterminator.

It is  a tragedy that the law stand your ground can exist.

It is  a tragedy that anyone can have a gun.

It is  a tragedy that anyone can have a gun even a person with a violent track record, as George Zimmerman has.

It is a tragedy that racism is alive and strong and that it is not taught  in schools and in the media that racism is  sickness.

The invaded countries of Iraq and Afghanistan and all other invaded countries suffer this brazen barbarism and now people in their own country have no protection from any law  which dictates that you cannot go up to someone and just murder them.

A terrible precedent is set : Follow, and murder but as long as you say ´selfdefence ´you can walk off scottfree.
It is very important for all of us everywhere not to accept this situation, not to accept this coldblooded cruelty,
not to accept neither this cruel law, nor to accept the criminal interpretation of this cruel law:
Murder anyone anytime for anything but call it selfdefence.

I am shocked and revulsed that George Zimmerman can walk around free when he committed first degree murder with no mitigating circumstances
