Dear, president elect                                                                                                                                                                               

I am a student and I am in there NJROTC program. I plan on ether joining the Navy or Marines. I am sixteen years old and really enjoy the program. I have lived in Georgia my whole life. I am writing to you about your defense cuts. The defense cuts are a bit too deep in my opion and have weakened our military. I do think we spend a lot of money on defense and we could cut back a little bit but not as much as you did.

 I have done my research and there are a few repercussions for the defense cuts. One is that defense cuts could affect the strength of our national security.  They will also affect how affectively we protect our foreign policy. What’s goanna happened to all those people you took out of service? Defense cuts will lead to more jobless veterans.  I think you could cut a little less.  Maybe even leave a few billion in the defense department budget for jobs for veterans and the development of better troops. Lastly, please do not put troops into anymore conflicts unless it is necessary.

Dear President Obama,

 I have asked about 200 people in my town of Kalamazoo, Michigan about this idea.  What if the government decided to give every legitimate U.S. citizen over the age of 21 who duly deserves this, $500,000. U.S. Dollars?  Wouldn't "WE The People" use this money to pay off our debts, open a business, and happily boost the economy?! I believe that 90% or more Americans have felt the aching struggle of our current dire financial situation. Every 2 week is about the normal pay period for most of us. It seems that after the first week of the precious money that we Americans work so hard to earn, we are scared of how will we make it to our next paycheck. Granted there are some Americans who are doing just fine with their financial status, but for the majority  of the U.S. , we are living almost in third world poverty conditions. I see the many faces of scared, worried people.

I have seen the countless homeless come out of hiding during the night, just to watch them in utter sadness digging through trashcans for a scrap of food. I was in Philadelphia two summers ago when you came to the Convention Center and I was hoping that you saw, for your very own eyes, the homeless, destitute, anguish, sorrow that this great country of ours is going through. I am appalled that the people who run this great country continue to throw trillions of dollars towards some idea to sustain us for another week.

A trillion dollars a week!?!? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that nothing seems to be working. I'm not a gambling man at heart but I'll bet you $500,000 that if my idea came to fruition, without raising prices, to legally leave the costs of any and all items where they stand for now, that the United States of America (which I proudly served in the U.S. Army but got dishonorably discharged because my first seargent at the time lied to me and told me that they would send me my discharge papers to my home but instead I got arrested) but that's another story. (which he by the way could not pass the Army Physical Test, in an elite infantry unit, A. Co. 2/16th Infantry Division of the Big Red One.

Dear President Obama,

I doubt that you will ever read this but I will write it anyways. These past few years have been chaotic to say the least. The government and the country are on the brink of a breakdown. The people are oppressed and becoming restless as you have probably already noticed. I am quite aware that you were left a mess when you entered office and that you are not the cause of most of this mess. Mr. Obama, this country needs a leader, more than ever. You can make all the speeches in the world, but it will not fix the unrest amongst the people. The fact is, we are poor, but the leaders of this country are not. These comfortable "leaders" are sitting around arguing over what OUR financial fate is going to be.  The people on the news channels and the celebrities who voice their opinions, are the ones being heard... They too are not suffering financially. This makes many feel uneasy, and I am quite sure that you can understand that.

Everyday people are losing their homes and jobs that they have had for years. The  traditional American dream is gone and our children are suffering. The new American dream is that of survival. Their education and financial futures  are in you and your constituate's hands. Passing frivilous bills that are not solving the key issues. I fully comprehend that these issues cannot be so simply taken care of, but quarreling over them in your conference rooms are not doing any good. Occupy Wallstreet movement is a cry for help and the canary in the coalmine Mr. President.

They are doing it all wrong in my opinion, but American people feel so powerless that they feel that they must resort to such primitive actions in order to get the attention of the world and our government. Our forefathers would look at us now and shake their heads. This is not what they struggled for. As cliche as it does indeed sound, it is the truth. We, the people, are vulnerable, just like the people of post WWI Germany. An extreme example, but a valid one. We are down on our luck and though we haven't had a our right to a military taken from us, we are indebted to other countries( many of whom control large amounts of our financial market). Outsourcing has killed our economy Mr.President.  Not only has it taken away jobs but it has caused world-wide mistreatment of fellow human beings. Corporations, many of them corrupt( not a misconception) do whatever they can to really cheat the citizens of this country and even worse in others. Alas. nothing happens to these people.

They just look down at us and tell us that "It's a dog-eat-dog world". We really are the 99% and they are the 1% who are not suffering. I do not resent success in others, but I do resent success that has sprouted from dishonesty. The citizens of this country once believed and trusted the government to protect them from things like this. Stealing from the poor and giving to the off-shore bank accounts. While many are on welfare and wondering where their next meal for the children is going to come from, your constituents are taking their weekend trips to Martha's Vineyard. THIS is wrong. There is no justification for this economic system. Louis and Antoinette come to mind.

Greed runs this country Mr. President. So as you sit in the White House with your world class chefs and as your children attend private school while other children receive minimal educations, they will not listen. Your children will be able to go to the best colleges and what about ours?

I know that you as well as the government could never take a stand against the corporations because they are so intertwined in political matters. It's not conspiracy, it is the truth. We our losing our freedoms because of the greed of others who we cannot reach. I am one of many. The people believe that they are powerless, but I refuse to accept that. I believe in the power of intellect and the undying spirit of unity. UNITY... This is what we need. Committees sitting around arguing will not fix what has gone wrong.

Right now, the people need to feel as if they are being heard. We want to be heard and we want to be in control of our own fate as a country. As a people, we have a right to do this, but are not allowed to do so.

Dear Mr. President,

I have supported you over the years, even when you have made choices that I have whole heartedly disagreed with. I've defended you up and down over the last 3 years. Now its your turn to stand up for me and the rest of the American People. In your quest for bi partisan government you have lost focus of your PROMISES that you made during your run in 08. I sat back and watched as you allowed the top 1% go scott free with another crony tax break. Our country is struggling, the country I grew up in is no longer the country I live in. The class gap is getting greater and greater as the months go by. As a 29 year old hard working married Man I fear that I may never be able to own a house, never be able to provide the same childhood for my kids that my parents could provide for me. Even worse my wife and I are having second thoughts about even having kids. Why would we want to bring them into a world so crooked and unbalanced. There are evils in this world that we can all recognize. This bill opens the door to those evils, we are a democracy not a military state do not help make it one. Infringing on our Bill of Rights, our unaliable rights as US Citizen is bigger than 9/11 , Pakistan, Iran and any other threat we may feel from outside and inside our own borders. I  not only fear what evils it will bring immediately. I fear for what may come down the road.  Make me proud to be an American again veto The National Defense Authorization Act. Remind me why I BELIEVED, remind me why I voted for CHANGE.

We helped get you into office, remember who you work for. We are the 99%.

   My name is Ramin Ansari a resident of Southern California for near 27 years. I am writing to find a way in rectifying my immigration situation and a possible hope for an immigration pardon in some way. Perhaps a miracle if you will cause i have ran out of options.

   I am an Iranian who has lived in the states since 1985. I was sent here at the age of 14 due to the war between Iran and Iraq. I believe that the decision of sending me here was that of a righteous act. In fact the best decision for a parent in saving their child life. At the time as you know many Iranians did so to save their loved ones from both death and a oppressive regime for hopes of a better future.

   I have had many hopes over the years, however now at the age of 41 have learned to be humble to what ever blessing come my way. Its been a rocky 27 years and i have tried many options and failed due to lack of residency and many other hindering obstacles. However through out this time i never lost hope in trying to clear my residency status.

    For the most part i have lived a peace full life. I have placed my self in many educational programs,been to high school (north holly wood high), colleges( west los angeles and valley college) in hopes for a higher education and understanding, helped to run few business, established some and lost few. Including my own with down fall of the economy.

     All said and done, life has been interesting in showing me many roads and i am thankful. Nonetheless, now i find myself allot older and time seams to be getting the best of me and my patience in hopes for waiting on a residency clearance and may be a citizen some day.

    I could say that i have lost many battles in my life and i am not alone."Man who is born of woman is of few days and full of trouble" (Job 14:1)  I have seen many people in worse shape than i and that of which i could even inure. Perhaps the good lord has loved me till this day and i find myself in his mercy. He must be watching over me because I cant say that in  27 years of turbulence and few tragedy i have been completely alone and have made it this far.For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind/'//'/ (2Timothy 1:7). And when i am over whelmed by situations i find the bible to be most soothing and my refuge. Finding peace has taken me many palaces and i have found it most restful with Christ.

    Without writing all my life and its ordeals including financing issues which have been the most troublesome due to both the economy and  immigration set backs, i am humbly asking you to help me overcome this issue. I have worked here since the age of 15 and paid many years of taxes which will all  go in vain if i am deemed deported and in limbo. furthermore the land and the people i have come to love over the years have left a profound effect in my life. it would be very difficult to think of my experience to have become the bane of my physical and spiritual existence rather the glory of a promised land in which of have work, studied, struggled, learned and grew up in since a teenager and now a 41 year old man. 

   if there is a way at all possible for my wish to come true please respond back to me and help me creat a much more hopeful future. I have dreams of going to to school and getting a degree in economics. Hi -First time - I sharing my views about a country and letter to president.

I do not know much about politics and but I know - how ppl put blame on others

I do not know to hurt others feeling - but I know ppl does that all the time.

I know you're doing great and stilll doing your best !!

First - Crisis we have today in USA - is not happenend from 2008.. I can say that ..... and I know ppl observed and elected Obama as a president.

One of the best president I ever see.. Its hard to control the feelings and give no place to feelings and react of what mind says !

Most ppl don't that.. they fall with love and other centiments

In this world - nothing to loose or nothing to gain - Its all a game - if we are not talented - we don't know to handle ourself and we will try to put blame on others. How many of the African-american or other country american citizen come forward to play role ? We can easily count..

Infact I just wanted this letter to be read by Americans and other country folks rather sending it to our great president.

- PPl go to American idol and spin and win a game and show their talents - because they become celebrity soon .. life style status changes...

How many youth come forward to see what is good and what is bad in life ? they don't go to college and even they go - their life style is different. This country provides food for everyone and ppl don't relaize how hard it is get $1 with your brain not by muscle power -

25% of folks uses their brain !! again those who read this - don't think this guy is so briallant - I'm not - I belongs to small middle class family and raise myself and clear all my parents debt and raising my children and have scarifice my feelings and ideas for my family till they can stand on their own. Even today when I use my brain and earn I feel happy - even I met a lady in the shopping center - I have a coupon of 15% I bought things for $108 and I can tell her what would be discount - but she did not trust me - she used calculator to get the same .. again not blamming everyone ... please understand.

Reason for sharing this big story is - We don't have any talent to comment on what others do .. We can watch if you are too good than others why can't push you too hard to reach that level ? most of won't do because we live for family not for nation.

Big salute for all political leaders- Its tough to be in politics. Even man and women are forced to do certain things which Environment plays a big rol there...

Americans - Please trust me -

have one family - I mean - one wife and sweet kids (sorry if this too personal).
