please recognize gay marriage on national level

Dear President Obama:

I know the debate of gay marriage is a difficult one as we enter into the reelection...but I am pleading with you to recognize states' decisions allowing gay marriage on a federal level. I am a mother of twin boys and my partner and I are in retirement age already. We certainly would like to provide for them and each other the same financial security enjoyed by all married couples. We live in Iowa and are happy to be married, but see that not being recognized by the federal government is still making us "less than equal." For our boys, I plead with you to make the change after the election. Thank you for all you have done already; God bless you and we support you.
