Life long republican who Will vote democrat for first time

Dear Mr. President, 

     I have been a republican since I got married at the age of 17. A few weeks later when I turned 18 my husband told me I needed to go register to vote. I asked him well, how should I register? He told me I had to register as a Republican because he was a Republican.   Well, needless to say I was very young and believed him. That was 34 years ago and we are still married. Since then he has changed parties twice. First to Democrate and then Indapendent. I have stayed registered as a republican.

Until today, 2/14/2012, I would never have even thought about voting Democrat but you have changed that for me with one thing, reminding all the men that it was valentines day! That in itself is not a big deal, but the fact that you put your wife and family so high even before your job makes me realize you are truly a great man!  I will vote for you because you do believe in marriage and family as much as I do. Thank you.
