I want to stay an American

Hello President Obama,

I doubt that this letter will ever reach anybody important, but I have reached a point of desperation. I have lived here in the U.S. for 14 years on an H-4 visa. My parents have been trying to get a Greencard for nearly 10 years so that I could get a citizenship to stay here. I am 18 now and I still haven't received that Greencard because the system is so unorganized and backed up. I am in the top 10% of my graduating high school class. I planned to continue to pursue an aerospace degree in college, but now I worry that my plans won't work out because I still don' t have my Greencard. I have so much to offer this country that I call home.

I have lots of ambition and ideas that can change the way we look at travel and space, but I may be forced to leave. How is that fair? I have waited so long and I feel so helpless because the immigration system is so dysfunctional.If my story is not proof enough, think about how terrorists are able to get citizenships despite the system's precautions. And yet, I can 't get a Greencard despite my family's reputation and upper middle class standing. Please fix the system. I have been accepted into some of the top universities in this country, but my future is completely dependent on whether I can get that Greencard soon. Please help me.
