The DRC crisis and current situation

Mr President Obama ,

Today I am writting to your Excellency, as a desperate Congolese citizen to emphasize the call of my fellow citizen all around the world who have been crying for justice for so many years and absolutely no one ever heard us.

Today we are crying again, crying because the will of a nation was stolen through an unfair electoral process and the whole world watch and say nothing ! Congolese are on the streets of the US, in Europe , South Africa everywhere trying to draw attention but no one seems to see us. We are wondering are we second class Humans ?

Today we are  crying again because our mothers and sisters have been raped due a conflict that have lasted for so many years without an end. We all know the solution to this situation but nothing happens. but in the meantime, Thousands of women are still being raped, some are dying, some rejected from their families or commuties because they were rapped. We are wondering are those women second class human that no one is acting efficiently to stop this war once and for all ?

Today we are crying because we remember 8 millions  of our brothers and sisters who have died through the genocide over the past 15 years. We are the only one remembering them and no one wants to rembember or think about them. No one is arresting those who have committed those crimes and they are still continuing to live freely in this world without being worried. Even though they have killed millions of people. We are wondering are all those dead people and those who are even dying while you are reading this letter, are they second class humans ?

Today we are crying because even as I write on this computer, or use my mobile phone, I remember that the coltan used in those devices are coming from my country but exported by a third party country who are claiming to be the owner and I remember as well that some of my brothers have died also because of it.

Today we are crying because the whole world know that a particular country is trying by all means to invide our country, use our ressources, kill our people yet no one says anything about it. They are more favoured than us, why ? may be because the whole world considered us as second class humans ....

We are saying this: We are not second class humans. We have been crying for so long, we have been saying all those things but no one seemed to have heard us may be because it sounds like a soft whisper that it was difficult to hear us. Today we are saying it more louder, today we are gathering in every single part of the world were congolese are found to tell the world what is going on in our country and if you have never heard us before may be you will hear this time because it's about time that the voices of congoleses, the blood of congolese crying for justice , the thousands of women rapped, a whole nation protesting against the electoral process it's about time that you hear our voice and have a look at what's going on over here.....

what we want : peace in our country, invaders sent back to their country, rapping of women to stop, the thruth about the electoral process and the true president congolese to be invested because we do not want to be ruled by a foreigner who does not care about us.

While the United States is preparing to celebrate Christmas, we are preparing to hide and surely once again counts our dead. Our children will surely not be able to have a peacefull christmas this year. I do not even think I will still be alive to witness the decision you might take in our favour this I do not know. But what I know for sure is that we will continue to cry and shout until you decide to finally hear us and our hope for a better tomorrow for our children will not cut off as the Bible says the Expectation of the righteous shall not be cut off "

With so much respect, appreciation for you Mr President, please remember the Democratic Republic of Congo, remember us all.....

God bless America, God bless the DRC
