Dr. Mohammad Ali Taheri

As of May 4th, 2011; Dr. Mohammad Ali Taheri, the founder of “Erfan-e Halgheh” (Interuniversal Mysticism) has been arrested by IRI’s security personnel revolutionary guards for the third time and presently, his health is in serious jeopardy. On the above date, Dr Taheri, upon presenting himself to the court authorities for questionings was arrested and detained by the IRI’s security personnel. This is the third time within the past years that he has been illegally, and without being charged sent to solitary confinement. This letter’s signatories expect your assistant in the immediate and unconditional release of this spiritual and scientific figure.

Dr Mohammad Ali Taheri, has so far got arrested and indicted for a series of baseless charges at times, like in 2007 bearing 120 counts of accusations. In 18 Apr 2010, consequent to a complaint, a case on national security filed against him by the information section of the IRI revolutionary guards, was detained once again and quite illegally and unlawfully, got jailed for 68 days in solitary confinement; and all his personal stuff, family photos & PC were confiscated by the mentioned forces. He got finally freed/bailed out for USD 100,000. Also earlier once arrested and freed after 24 hours on 12 Apr 2011 with no charges. The recent arrest was on May 4th, 2011. This case is presently being attended in Sec. 28 of Revolutionary Court in Tehran, headed by Judge Mr. Pir Abbasi.

It was reported that in his third and recent arrest, the information section of the IRI revolutionary guards had urged for performing immediate execution both for Dr. MA Taheri and his other related colleagues arrested in this case. His term (execution) is favored by the verdicts collected from just a scanty number of Muslim (Shee’a) religious local leaders. By presenting false documents and reports to some sources of emulation a number of plaintiffs managed to procure a decree based on “blasphemy” and “having left the faith” in order to ensure a death sentence.
