Bringing our jobs back is the key to our economic turnaround

President Obama,

I feel as though the only way we can save our economy is by bringing jobs back into the United States. Now that it is another election year you are saying that you have a plan to save the economy and that it by bringing jobs back. But my question to you is why have you not done this in the past 3 years that you have been in office. Instead of filling the American people with things that they want to hear, you should get the job done! I do not see the " change " that you promised our nation. We cannot solve our problems by taxing the rich because The problem is to big to be solved like that. You are the voice of the people and you need to help the rest of the government understand that the only way to save our economy is by bringing jobs back. If we want employment here in America, we are going to have to erect trade tariffs that make foreign goods more expensive so it removes the advantage of manufacturing overseas or Americans are going to have to start buying what is made here, even though it is more expensive so we have employment here. Tariffs come with many disadvantges, like retaliation from other nations. That said, if we do nothing and keep sending billions out for cheap goods, services and energy, we'll have higher unemployment here and either very high taxes or giant government debt. Another stimulus package will do us no good if the money is not spent in the right places. This imbalance would have never occured if laws that disallowed "too big to fail" weren't repealed.

We had systems in operations that protected the citizens of the country from greed. The shift of wealth to the wealthiest people is effecting all of us. It's time people on the right acknowledge the problem also. I guess it'll finally sink in when they too enter the increasing poverty levels. Bring back laws like Glass Steagall. True, we need revenue and cut back on spending. I would start with the billions given to countries we call allies such as Pakistan and Afghanistan, they use our funding to attack our troops. We should bring our troops home and nation build here not overseas. Those wars will cost us trillions more over health issues and the destructive mental behavior suffered by our troops. Cutting back on our "war machine" then looking at wasted entitlement spending such as Medicare "B". Why are we funding pharma's? Why do the same drugs cost more here than in other countries? Until the government Imposes higher tariffs On imports So our Products can compete, the economy will soon collapse. So you need to get the tariffs higher and our business leaders will start manufacturing at home. This will bring jobs back, spending will grow and people will be able to afford to pay of their mortgages and start new businesses to further help our economy. What you are doing right now is NOT WORKING! If you want reelection then get things done and show us the "change" you promised.
