Welcome to LetterToBarackObama.com, your place to leave an open letter to the 44th President of the US. Letters are welcome from anyone.
Dear President Obama:
As I was glancing to all the other letters that were posted online for you, I couldn’t help but to notice that
each and every letter was a plead for some sort of help, whether it was mortgage loan modification,
immigration issue, unemployment, economy, homeless people, etc. Please know that I respect and honor
your authority as the President of our Nation because as a Christian that is what I am called out to do. I
believe God put you as the leader of this Nation for a reason and I will remain faithful to his will.
Nonetheless, it fills my heart with sadness to see how many people cry out to you for help because while
you are the leader of our Nation, you are still human and you cannot fix all of America’s problems. Not you
and not any other President, no matter how wise, experienced or intelligent they are. From the Declaration of Independence,
we have called the United States of America, one Nation under God, people carry license plates that say: “God Bless America”; yet, we, as a Nation, have departed from
God. We have deliberately secluded him from our school system and our government. We dare to go to Court and swear by the Bible when called to testify.
To me this is all mockery towards our creator and heavenly father. There is only one person that can turn around the United States
from its current downfall, it is the same person who freed our Nation and made us the Nation of Freedom,
and that is God. We have departed from him, and the results are that our Nation is in its biggest downfall. My plea to
you today is more than just a cry for help, rather it is the solution to America’s problem. I am not here to
enforce nor speak about Religion, a relationship with God does not depend on a religion. I have heard of
people that no longer watch the news because it is so depressing, and I have to agree with them. Every day
what I see is poverty, crime, children being raped, abused and murdered by their parents; in the same way
parents and elderly being murdered by their children; we see that the violence in our school system has
increased tremendously, children being bullied; other teenagers becoming anorexic and pregnant, others
committing suicide as a result of bullying. In addition, we see the poor economy, natural disasters, lack of
jobs, more people living in homeless shelters and depending on community centers that provide assistance to
the public. I, myself am a member of a Church here in Charlotte, North Carolina and we have a
Community Center where we have a pantry, a free clinic, a community store and we also feed the homeless
every Saturday. As such I see one on one the needs of Americans. As a parent I want the best for my
children and I highly believe that you and the First Lady, want nothing but the best for
your children too. So I am calling you out today not just as a President, but as a father and leader of a family,
please bring prayer back into our school system. I am not asking to enforce a religion, but prayer is what this country needs. Mr. President, I
pray every week for you and your family, that the Lord would give you wisdom and discernment, that he blesses
you and directs you in the right way. I am not against any religion either I am simply asking that we
be true to our Motto and once again become One Nation under God. He is the only one that can help
restore our government and nation. If you allow him back into our Government, he will use you in ways that
you cannot imagine. Thus far, he has lead you in marvelous ways, but we still have much to do and America
depends on him. For the sake of the United States, bring prayer back into our school system, this is one
battle worth fighting for and I guarantee you that the God will be with you all the way. It is time to break the
Chains of Evil that are bringing destruction to our Nation. If you move forward you have millions of
Americans that will follow you in this battle. Being a President takes lots of leadership and wisdom
but fighting for God takes great courage. I encourage you today to take this challenge and for the sake of
our country bring prayer back into the Nation’s school system, so that we may once again be a blessed
nation, where families can live in true freedom with honesty and integrity, helping and loving one another in
the same way God loves us.
Prayerfully yours,
Charlotte, NC
