Mr. President,
In 2005 (the year with the most available data), about 3,315 fetuses were aborted. This means that 23% (almost one in every four) of all pregnancies end in abortion. 0.8% of abortions are classified as "hard cases" this would mean circumstances such as rape, incest, or protecting the mother's life. In the event of rape or incest, the child should be put up for adoption. Why punish the child for the sins of the parents? Also, there is never an occassion where abortion is necessary to save a mother's life. Other reasons, such as not being financially or emotionally prepared, could also be easily solved through adoption. Hundreds of thousands of couples are desperately seeking a child to love and care for while others are killing theirs. It's cruel to kill a baby that others are praying for. I think adoption is a win-win situation!
One third of my generation is not here today because they were killed in the womb. A womb is the safest possible place for a child, why would it ever be alright to invade it and slaughter the fetus? I don't think this is okay and I don't think it's okay to stand back and let this happen. I am aware that you are pro-choice and I respect your opinion, however (as I stated previously) I believe that there are far better alternatives to abortion. It has been argued that the "fetus" isn't a baby. The fetus is alive in the womb. Birth doesn't change this fetus and magically bring it to life, it changes the environment in which the fetus is LIVING. Please help me to stop this wide spread slaughter of innocent fetuses which is sweeping across our beautiful nation! Make abortion illegal! Thank you so very much for taking the time to read this!!!
With all due respect,

uhhhhhhhhh.......
Im glad you brought up adoption here!
How many stable (financially, emotionally) couples adopt anything other than WHITE perfect babies? Yeah - it's a pretty small percentage. A lot of the babies that are put up for adoption are not white - or perfect, and they end up in a system that is not only expensive but in many cases ruins their lives. This system is called the foster care system - where the government takes care of babies nobody wants (including the parents who LEGALLY have the right to not bring this fetus into a miserable existance).
Would you rather a baby who is not perfect and WHITE just stay in the "system" - living life miserably (raped, murdered, used for a mopnthy check, unloved)?
I wouldnt. I think a crappy life is not worth being "pro life". That's just me though!
Abortion
At some point in time one makes a choice on their value system. I was raised Catholic and though not until I was a full adult with two children at the time, did I conciously decided that life was a gift from God. Even later did I fully accept the premise that being Pro-Life meant just that. So whether it's popular or not, I am Pro-Life including being against the death penalty.
This being said, I don't know the statistical figures of how many white, black, asian, hispanic or other babies are adopted. Most people will want the "perfect" child. I personally know of many people who has adopted all kinds of children - special needs, severly handicapped (including those who were born perfect but at the hands of their birth parents are not now), "perfect" white babies and foreign. Regardless of what you think is perfect at the time may not really be. In addition, most of these people have their own children as well. No one is perfect. Not only babies but the parents and adoptive ones.
My true feeling is that I can't and won't support abortion. That is not birth control. That is murder at any stage. Our modern world has bought into the good feel life and part of the game are the consequences. The innocent babies are the consequence. It's not their fault. Why punish them with death? We don't punish the parents that way.

I support your views on abortion and thank God you never have to have one if you don't want to. I'm going to sign you up to help support and/or adopt these unwanted children who are punished with poverty, lack of education, criminal behavior from poor socialization, racism, bigotry, hunger and bullying from gang members to sell or do drugs. I'm so happy that you will not complain about an increase in your taxes to support government programs that help these children. Thank you so much for your support. Please reply and I will contact you immediately for your help and to get your donation today.
