The Right To Attend College Without Stress And A Hassel

Dear President Obama

I watched the State Of Union Address last night, and I heard you talk about student loans and college for individuals. I'm writing this letter to inform you that I am indeed one of the individuals that you talked about last night. I have my Bachelors of Science in Computer Engineering Tech (June of 2010). I have yet to find a job in my field, when applying I am always told I do not have enough experience. I just recently applied for college and was told since I have a bachelor’s degree I cannot receive the Pell grant (free money), and since I am approaching the max in loans I will not be able to receive financial aid (Government Assistance). I have applied for several scholarships as well as grants. I did not know that having a Bachelor’s degree that is not being put into play could affect your future. I do not have enough money to pay for college out of pocket being that I work at a local grocery store. This letter is not for anyone to feel sorry for me; all I’m asking for is some assistance for college and positive feedback as to what could be my next step.

Sincerely,

De'Auna
