rena dilemma
Dear President,
I am been unemployed for about 1 year, and I have decided to go back to school like you suggested. I just graduated from a Technical school in 2009 in Electronics and Computer Technology. I have not been offered any employment opportunities in this field. I am convinced that this is due to the fall of the big 3 factories here in Michigan, and the excuse I keep getting is that I need experience. How can you get experience if no one will hire you.
I took your advice and decided to go back to school in the Healthcare field. I have 10 years hospital experience, so experience will not become a factor once I graduate. I have been accepted into a Medical school called Bohecker College located in Columbus Ohio. The only problem is that I cannot receive any money from Michigan to attend school out of state. I cannot receive any money from Ohio since I am not a resident of Ohio. The program that I plan to pursue is Allied Health/Radiology Tech. There is a 3 year waiting list here in Michigan, so I got accepted in Bohecker College immediately and is scheduled to begin classes in January 2010.
I ran into the problem during registration of becoming short on my tuition cost. I need $16,000 to pay for the final balance of my school bill at Bohecker. I cannot start classes unless there is proof that this balance is covered. I applied for a FAF and got some money, but it was not enough. I applied for a Sallie Mae loan, but cannot get approved without a co-signer. Many other private loan companies keep turning me down due to my bad credit and unemployment, Sallie Mae is the only loan approval company that this school will accept. No family or friend will co-sign for me in this hard economic times, and I am really depressed that my future is slowly becoming shattered. I'm trying to help myself but I cannot find assistance from anybody. All I need is $16,000 to attend school. Please co-sign my Sallie Mae loan or please offer a guaranteed solution to my problem. I am considering suicide sometimes, and I have waited so long to finally get accepted into this medical program. Please help me President Obama. you are my only hope. I will do anything to guarantee you that I will graduate. I'm only trying to do what's right and go back to school. If I don't get into school, my unemployment may run out before I'm done. Please help me. This amount is the only thing keeping me from fulfilling my dreams. I was in this radiology program 10 years ago and they canceled the program for no reason. Now there is a waiting list for 3 years in Michigan. Please give me the money. Thankyou
