So Disappointed...

Dear President Obama,
The number one reason I voted for you was because you said you would bring the troops back and not support war.  I worked for you in the election and supported you wholeheartedly. I've lost my faith in you1
 I have been a teacher in Hawaii for over 30 years.  Many of the children I teach are military children, and I see the negative impact on their lives because of their fathers and mothers being deployed for one or even two years.  What kind of "family values" is that?  Just think if the money we are spending on sending so many troops to Afganistan were spent on education in this country, we could be a truly great nation.  Why are you worried about terriorists in far away places when we have our own "terrorists" here in America?  Just look at the four police officers in Washington who were gunned down execution style.  We need to spend our money on raising educated and empathic children. I know the school you attended in Hawaii, Punahou.  My daughter went there too.  My dream is that all the children in the U.S. should have the kind of educational environment that my daughter and you had.  Why not?  We could do it with the money you're wasting on this war.  Please consider all of us who voted for you because we believed you were not like Bush.  You're sounding a lot like him, I'm afraid....and that's my worst nightmare!
