Thankful!

I don't know where to begin so I'm just gonna start writing from my heart. I have always been a bit political, don't know why. I wrote a letter to president Nixon when I was just seven or so. My parents still have the letter. It started something like this. I am a ballerina girl, I am upset with you. You lied by saying that you were going to bring our soldiers home....
 
My point being, even though I remember little about that, the war had a profound effect on me. Just as children today will pay the price both emotionally and financially fro the wars that we are fighting today. I would much rather them pay the price of heathcare reform for ALL of humanity today and for all times.
I became a mother when I was just 15 years old. I could spend my days complaining that I did not have the guidance that a young lady deserved. More importantly, as a 47 year old woman, I celebrate that I made good decisions and have a wonderful son to show for the adversities in my life.  Please, I fear that you may some day give up. Know that you are loves and respected...I have supported your campaign, in fact with my father on his death bed in my home knocked on doors with hopes of talking to others about the opportunities that we can have with you as our leader. Iwill never give up, and I hope you don't as well. I have lost my father in life, but not in spirit. He was not very kind to those of other color in his younger life...I am happy to say that he voted for you and cried when you won. He was so happy, I took a picture of him watching your acceptance speech on TV.
I will never waiver from my support of you and pray that you never give up on us. Reagardless of the ignorance that is trying to damage your progress. You have encouraged me to return to school, I am working on my Bachelors....currently at a 4.0 GPA. You have given hope to America and the WORLD, please don't give up. I pray for you and your family. We are at a better place due to your efforts. Please, please, please have the appropriate leaders take proper steps to end the slander by Beck and Limbaugh...we can not allow this in our country. Do not stand back and let this continue. This type of ignorance and hate breads more hate and can only lead to dangerous outcomes. Don't hold back, please put an end to it!!!
